Saturday 4th February 2017
This was a very exciting weekend for us, as we were going to install our new Facnor roller furler. On Saturday 4th, Mattis was winched up the mast and we fed the halyards through the mast. The weather turned quite windy by Saturday afternoon with lots of rain, so we headed home and returned early the next day.

Sunday 5th February 2017
We spent the day installing our roller furler as the wind had died down. Once it was fitted, we realised that the foils were slightly too long. After some time thinking about what to do and what was the best way to take off the extra length of foil, Mattis was winched up the mast again and he sawed off the required 20cm of foil from the top. This was to ensure that we had the right length for our genoa which we should have in the next month or so.
